Streamwood Behavioral Health Systems Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System has been providing H.O.P.E. - Health Opportunities in a Peaceful Environment - for children, adolescents and family members since 1991. It has the unique designation of being the first freestanding child and adolescent behavioral healthcare facility in the state of Illinois. With 162 licensed inpatient beds and 105 licensed residential beds, the facility offers a wide array of services for youth ages three to 17 that can take into account the child or adolescent's entire social environment, including their family, school, living situation and community. The team approach emphasized within the Streamwood system allows for individualized treatment that considers the whole person, including their family and unique life situation. In addition, a clinical consultative team of psychiatric experts from across the United States provide and identify additional treatment options with Streamwood's team of 12 child and adolescent psychiatrists.
